Detailed Itinerary

The following itinerary is intended as a working guide only and is subject to variation as a result of local conditions, weather and governmental restrictions. We reserve the right to alter (lengthen or shorten) the trip any time if necessary. Airline schedules are subject to change, both international and domestic, and it may be necessary to vary our itinerary to adapt to these changes.


Day 1
Arrive in Mineralnye Vody airport. Drive to hotel (about 3,5 hours) in Baksan Valley near Elbrus at the altitude of 2100m.

Day 2
Short drive to Azau cable car station. We take the cable car/chair lift system up to the Mir Station at 3500m. Acclimatising off-piste skiing. Ski pass for the entire day is included. Overnigh in the hotel in the Valley.

Day 3
We take the cable car/chair lift system up to 3800m from where walk up to the Pastukhova Rocks at 4800m. Ski down to overnight in a hut at 3800-3900m.

Day 4
In the morning we walk up to Pastukhova Rocks and get the altitude of 4800 - 5000m. Ski down to the hut.

Day 5
We begin in the small hours of the morning for the ascent to the highest of the Elbrus' twin peaks - the West Summit 5642m. Ski down to the hut at 3800-3900m. Overnight.

Day 6
Spare day to climb Elbrus if the weather on Day 5 was bad. Overnight in the same hut.

Day 7
Return to the hotel and relax.

Day 8
Drive to Mineralnye Vody for the flight home.
